Robert Fleming is a professional chef, television/radio personality and most importantly for us the found and keeper of the cakes at Magnolia Pancake Haus. He learned to cook at an early age as the second of seven children. His mom, like our executive chef, taught him how to cook preparing family meals. As an “old school” restaurant pro who came up through the business starting at age 14 in Chicago, Illinois, he has developed a love of food that continues to this day. With degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, Robert has worked for some of the best in the hospitality business. Stints with Hyatt Hotels, Sheraton Worldwide and Intercontinental Hotels have exposed him to the finest operations in North America. On the restaurant side, he served tours of duty with TGI Friday’s, Houlihan’s and Cervante’s of Chicago. Those experiences, in addition to working in memorable San Antonio restaurants such as Cyrano’s, Potpourri, and the fondly remembered Steamer’s Café, left him with a love of comfort food well served that few in the industry can claim. Today, Robert’s Magnolia Pancake Haus is recognized as one of the best purveyors of authentic, handmade American breakfast in the state of Texas and our Magnolia team couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments!
